Bon Appetit
Last Tuesday evening, 2o00 people turned out in a thunder storm to participate in Bon Appetit Ottawa’s annual nosh. Of the four years that we have participated in this event, this year was the busiest! Sticking to our comfort food theme, we prepared Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. Of course, the tomatoes were organic heirloom from Bryson Farms, the cheese was 2 year old raw milk from Isle aux Greus, and the bread was True Loaf’s Sourdough Rye.
But the piece de resistance was our organic, fair trade chocolate brownies decorated with fresh berries. They were coming back for more!
Proceeds of more than $130,000 will be distributed to local charities that focus on helping children, the elderly and/or hunger relief.
