African Sanctus by David Fanshawe. Join the Baobab Youth Drummers for a performance conducted by Matthew Larken, with Maghan McPhee (operatic soprano), Rebecca Abbott (pop soprano) and a Ottawa rock musicians for what promises to be a memorable evening at Dominion Chalmers on Friday October 21. Ottawa’s Baobab Youth Drummers have just returned from Africa where they drummed, danced, and lived within the Ghanaian community of Dagbamate, and toured throughout Ghana.
Grievous Angel: The Legend of Gram Parsons, stars Anders Drerup and Kelly Prescott as Gram and Emmylou Harris. The show was inspired by Michael Bate’s March 1973 interview with the
doomed singer in Boston. It was Parsons’ last recorded conversation. The theatrical concert is produced and directed by our client – Michael Bate, written by Michael Bate with David McDonald.
There are two opportunities to take in this performance at the NAC 4th stage – on Friday September 23rd or Saturday September 24, 7:30 pm both days.
Tickets are $30.00 and are available online at Ticketmaster or at the door, however two lucky Red Apron clients will have a chance to win a pair of tickets for 2, for either the Friday or Saturday performance. The first person to email us at theladies@redapron.ca with the answer to the following skill testing question will be able to choose between two tickets to the Friday or Saturday performance. The second person to email with the answer will get the remaining set of tickets.

Starting this Saturday September 3 and the first Saturday of every month, visit the Urban Craft Market for locally made food, jewelry and homewares. This monthly event takes place between 10am and 2pm a the Great Canadian Theater Company at Holland & Wellington. I’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas presents!
