With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s time for us to roll out our Thanksgiving offerings for 2012. This year’s turkeys are very special indeed. They were organically raised especially for the Red Apron on the Pickle Patch Farm near Vankleek Hill by our favourite lady farmer Aartje den Boer. Because of her close working relationship with Beau’s Beer, the turkeys were fed on a diet of organic grains, spent organic hops and beer!
This year, we will be making pumpkin pies using locally grown organic pumpkins from Songberry Farm, and Apple Spice pies using apples picked from Hall’s Orchard near Brockville.
