Pumpkin Carving Contest in Support of the CCFC
Come by our store (410 Gladstone Ave) between October 15th and October 29th to purchase a local pumpkin and participate in our carving contest.
- Take home a pumpkin (min $10 donation suggested)
- Carve the pumpkin
- Post to Instagram or Facebook and tag @theredapronottawa
The winner will be chosen on October 31st and receive a $50 RA Gift Card!
All funds collected will be donated to the Centretown Community Food Centre(CCFC). The CCFC is the food bank serving people living in the Centretown area bordered by Wellington Street to the north, Billings Bridge to the south, Lyon St. to the west and Main Street, including Lees Avenue, to the east. They aim to provide each client with 3-4 days of groceries.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Costumer Contest
Wednesday, October 29th from 4 to 7pm on the Red Apron Patio.
Show off your four-legged friends in fancy dress. We will have Hot Dogs, House Made Dog Treats, Soft Serve with Chocolate ‘Dirt’ Sauce & Gummy Worms as well as lots of early-Halloween fun!
A RA staff member will photo the participants with the winner being announced on the 31st.
The winner of the costume contest will receive a $25 RA Gift Card.

Food Drive Raffle - Help Feed our Community and Win!
We are launching a raffle in support of our friends at the Centretown Community Food Centre (CCFC), with a chance to win a $100 Red Apron Gift Card!
To receive a ticket the raffle, come in-store and donate non-perishable goods, cash or show us your receipt from an online donation. Limit of one ticket per visit to our store.
The raffle will run through October 21, 2024, and the winner will be announced on the following day through our Instagram page.
The CCFC is the food bank serving people living in the Centretown area bordered by Wellington Street to the north, Billings Bridge to the south, Lyon St. to the west and Main Street, including Lees Avenue, to the east. They aim to provide each client with 3-4 days of groceries per visit.
The CCFC is facing supply shortages because their biggest supporter, the Ottawa Food Bank has been forced to reduce their support by 60%. At the same time, demand for their services is increasing. Please help so that this vital community organization can continue to assist those experiencing food insecurity.
Suggested non-perishable donations includes:
- Canned Tuna, Salmon, Meat and Stews
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Soups
- Canned Beans, including baked beans, kidney beans, black beans
- Cereals, Rice, Dried Beans,
- Peanut Butter
- Dry Pasta and Pasta Sauce
- Baby Formula, Baby Food, Diapers
- Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
- Toilet paper and feminine products
