We love going out for dinner and supporting small, locally owned restaurants. But let’s be honest, dining out is becoming more and more expensive. Recently we found ourselves dining in a Chain Restaurant. We ordered 2 main entrées and 2 deserts and shared a bottle of wine. There were no local or organic ingredients on the menu. The meal came to $201.00 including tax and tip.

If you are a regular Red Apron client you know that you can enjoy a Thursday Fresh meal dinner, picked up in store or delivered to your home. These meals are generous and always include multiple components, feature local and organic ingredients, include a delicious dessert and require less than 30 minutes to re-heat. You probably have leftovers for the next day, and if you choose a bottle of wine from our beautiful selection of Ontario small batch/small vineyard wines, the total will come to $81.00 all in!

This difference of over $120 can go a long way to stretching your food budget!
